Today, I glanced at the countdown clock. Less than 4 days to go (stupid clock!). No sense asking where the time went. I know where. It's hanging out with the missing scissors and left socks. The closer d-day gets, the more
nervous I get. Sometimes it's a butterfly-in-the-gut, can't-wait-to-go sorta thing. Then there's the "Oh-my-God-I'm-insane!" one.
Feeling that time is going faster I chalk up to being over 40. Things go faster when you're going downhill, don't they? And judging by what I see in the mirror, gravity seems to be working just fine.

I always tell myself that this time it'll be different. This time I'll do it early so I can relax at the end. Then a crafty little voice tells me that, the sooner I fall behind, the more time I'll have to catch up. That sly voice is trouble... but I fall for it every time!
I like the gravity comment. By now you most be leaving some very unusual tracks in the dirt.
ReplyDeleteWhy is YoManBob not on the crew list?
Let's just say, you can follow my tracks easily.
ReplyDeleteOh, and YoManBob has not set up his link yet. He may want to stay "invisible." Dennis hasn't linked yet, either. Men! ;)
