A super cool (literally!) tip I received was to use a
Camelbak hydration system and fill it with only ice. As the ice melts, it not only provides ice-cold water on the go but keeps your back nice and chilly. I decided to test this out before I give it a thumbs up but it sounds like an awesome tip. I'll post my results after my test run. I don't have a Camelbak brand one but the idea's the same. The one I have does not have the insulating outer shell, which works out great since it has to fit comfortably under my armored jacket.
A HUGE thanks to our reader "J", aka "Webbie in Co" for keeping us cool!
Hey girl, I was talking to my cus Hect about the trip and he thought that you should have a donations widget of sorts. You would be surprised at how many kind people would offer to help you guys out on your journey. They may want to buy you guys some gas or lunch along the way. This would be a cool way that the readers can join you in your adventure. At the time of this post there are 300+ page views and if only 1% of the readers donate a bit it could buy at least a sandwich or two. I know I'm up for buying you lunch if you can mail me that Iron Butt.
ReplyDeleteHm, that's a consideration. I will consult with the rest of the team and see. Are you volunteering to write the code for some kind of "donate" widget? ;)
ReplyDeleteYou can use something like http://www.razoo.com
ReplyDeleteHad never heard of razoo.com. Thanks, Anon!
