Blog changes

Pssst.... pssst..... Hey YOU! Look to the left. No, the other left. Oh, my bad. You were right the first time. Anyway, did you notice something new? No? How unobservant! I have added --- drum roll, please --- a countdown clock! Don't smirk. It took me hours to figure out how to do it. Um, yeah. Copy/paste kicked my butt. If you already knew how to do it, why didn't you offer to help me?!

Well, you can make up for it by
helping me add a "donate" button. Actually, more like a "gas money" button. Or, once the button is there, you can help by actually donating. We have pared down expenses to bare minimum, especially through camping most of the trip and cooking all our meals at camp, but fuel costs are one item we cannot control. It just keeps going up. So, if you enjoy the blog and pictures we are (and will be) posting, we would really appreciate a gallon of gas. If you don't enjoy them... well, you get to not enjoy them? And I do really need help setting up a "gas money" button. I admit I am completely clueless when it comes to coding.

It also occurred to me that if there are any teachers or school-age children reading this, the blog could be used to teach them some U.S. geography and maybe a thing or two about National Parks.  If a class is interested, we can send postcards from our travels directly to the class so they can be more involved. And we will also do our best to answer questions through emails from school-age children. Adult emails have to go to the back of the line. Children first!

So, break out a map of the United States and follow along!  At the very least, I can promise cool animal pictures!
